Pretty please lean in

First let me address the question of why blogging is a good idea. I won't beat around the bush. The answer to it is simple - it encourages you to think. It's not so much a revelation for my readers as it is a motivation for me. The next time I see my blog, this will be the first line I read.

I almost always blog only when my creative juices get flowing, when I am inspired or when I have learnt an emotionally driven lesson. It's not compulsive for me, it's a choice. And so, for people like me, blogging is a great idea. It works those otherwise wilting grey cells. And when you write, you drive home your lesson better. It serves not just as a tool to spread your experiences in the virtual community, but as your very own personal memo.

Today's trigger - Sheryl Sandberg's 'Lean In'

I admire her. More for what she represents than who she is. She represents the potential all woman possess, she represents the heights they can reach, and she represents the aspirations they all stow away in the deepest corners of their hearts. She teaches us to dream, dream big, and work for it. Work for it with all our might, with all the right to, not allowing disruptions, setbacks, negative opinions or dissuasions to affect us. Make woman equality a reality, and begin that by believing in ourselves first. Because if we don't, who will?

So, here I am, taking a step towards making it a reality, pledging to work harder, believe stronger and achieve more than I ever thought myself capable of. And I encourage everyone who might be reading this- men and woman alike- to lean in. To make the world smarter, more capable, more fair and way better than it is today. And the first step to achieving that is believing that such a world can exist.

Tip for the day: Audio-books are a good option sometimes. Stress your eyes lesser and make a greater impact, especially when the genre is motivational.
